Dr DV Rao is an eminent lawyer practicing at Supreme Court of India. He is also founder of Gareeb Guide (Voluntary Organization) ESTD in 2007 and registered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976. The main aims and objectives of our organization are - 1. In purview of Education: Promoting fundamental principles and humanitarian values develop in a better understanding internally and influencing behaviour in the community 2. In field of Medical: Protection of life, health and human dignity 3. In purview of General Public Utility: Guide the people for their well wish and guide the people for legal and economic equality, Conduct the Tennis Tournaments in the name of Indian Open Tennis, Some welfare activities in the interest of Tennis and Tennis Players etc. Since inception of Gareeb Guide, we are working hard on our aim. During the years 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, our organization conducted many welfare activities i.e blood donation camps, health camps, scholarships to poor students, legal awareness camps through walk a thon (375 KMS), free legal aid camps at 23 districts, filed many public interest litigations i.e conjugal rights to victims, seeking ban on begging, seeking ban on tobacco products etc, conducted representation programmes i.e courts to be functioned round the clock to reduce the gigantic pendency, establishment of the circuit bench of the supreme court at every high court and Indian Open Tennis Tournament-2014 etc. In the past, His Excellency Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles, Hon’ble Chief Justice of Tamil Nadu, Hon’ble Chief Justice of Kerala, the Chairperson, A.P State Human Rights Commission, Hon’ble Minister of IT &PR, Chief Information Commissioner, Former Union Home Secretary, and various other distinguished guests from the judicial field and other fields of public service have graced our programmes. Now, He is planning for Gareeb Guide’s Heaven (Project). This project will be covered in the area of 200 acres with Old Age Home, Orphans’ Home, School, Hospital, Rescue Home, Vocational Training Centre, Tennis Stadium, Canteen, 3 Star Hotel, Church, Maszid and Temple. Preferably, location for this project will be within the radius of 100 KM from the secretariat of the concerned states of India i.e Delhi, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Maharastra, Gujarat, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Through this project, 400 Senior Citizens at Old Age Home, 400 Orphans at Orphans’ Home, 200 Poor Students (free education) at School, 100 Poor Citizens (free treatment) per a dayat Hospital, 200 Women at Rescue Home / Vocational Training Centre, 100 Talented Tennis Players (free coaching) at Tennis Academy, 1,000 employees directly and many more indirectly will be benefited. He authored “Sure Success in All India Bar Examination & Junior Civil Judge” (Dedicated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India, Forewords by Justice B.Subhashan Reddy & Sri A.Narasimha Reddy, Chairman, Bar Council of A.P). He Participated in a seminars on “The Role of Judiciary in coordinating the Executive and the Legislature” along with Dr. Jaya Prakash Narayana, IAS, MLA, "On the provision of article 39A" along with Swamy Bodhamayananda, Rama Krishna matt, “The "Right to Information Act in Slum” along with former Hon’ble Health Minister Sri Vanama Venkateswara rao. He received Honorary Doctorate in Social Work.
