Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post-Basic)

Post Basic Bsc (PBBSc ) Nursing is for Nurses who have already successfully complete their G.N.M after 10+2 and registered with any state nursing council .

After passing PBBSC one will be equivalent to B.Sc Nurses and will get same recognition and remuneration with higher scale with superior designation . Even they now act as Lecturer / Teacher of any Nursing School or Colleges . For higher study in Nursing like M.Sc (N) or Ph.D in Nursing one should have to do Post Basic BSc Nursing .

Course Duration : – 2 Years

Post BSc Nursing Admission Eligibility :

1.     Should have passed 10+2 from any recognised Board / Council .

2.     Should have passed G.N.M from any INC recognised Nursing College.

3.     Should have registered with any State Nursing Council

4.     There has no Age Limit .


B.Sc. Nursing in Post-Basic is a 2- year undergraduate program pursued for candidates interested in the field of Nursing. Nurses are healthcare professionals who are trained in taking care of patients, treating them, and assisting doctors in treatment and surgery. A qualified RN (Registered Nurse) is capable of administering preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative services to patients and communities at large.

Successful graduates of the course are hired in nursing educational institutions, fields of clinical nursing and public health nursing in community settings. Lessons in the course are imparted through classroom and clinic-based teaching and educational visits.

 

B.Sc. in Nursing (Post-Basic): What is it About?

The INC (Indian Nursing Council) is the authorized body that governs all aspects of nursing education in India. The course follows the syllabus prescribed by the INC.

Eligibility for B.Sc. in Nursing (Post-Basic)

Candidates wishing to apply for the course need to have qualified the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course after attaining the 10+2 or equivalent qualification, preferably with Science subjects.

Candidates need to also be Registered Nurse/ Registered Midwife or equivalent with any of the State Nursing Registration Councils.

Also, the applicant is required to have a sound working knowledge of English, be medically fit, and possess a good personal and professional record.
